The following information is provided more fully in the Advanced Glowswitch Handbook
The Start-up Boost switch is particularly useful for those engines that need a bit extra when starting. It ensures full glow power for starting but retains the normal trimpot setting for in-flight support. All AGSs are fitted with a connection for the Hidden Helper start-up boost. The Hidden Helper boost switch consists of a magnetically operated reed switch with a 500mm lead that plugs straight into any AGS or IG- b. Scale modellers will appreciate that the switch-head can be fitted wherever is convenient and out-of-sight in the fuselage or cowling so that a magnet [in a finger ring or glove for example] will operate the switch when the model is held for starting. We also supply a suitable high strength operating magnet if required. NB: You can replace the magnetic reed switch with any conventional switch of your choice.

Ferrite Ring Cores (Pack of Five) In the very rare cases of models where the signal to noise ratio or aerial tuning is compromised (by an all aluminium skin for example) these cores can help to limit the importation of noise into the Rx. Cables suspected of carrying interference can be looped through these cores to form noise reduction chokes which won't affect wanted signals. These toroids are large enough to feed a servo cable through up to five turns (the more the better) without removing the plug. See the Advanced Handbook for more information. Part No FC-GM
Battery charging On-board NMH, NiCd and Cyclon battery types may be charged in-situ using your existing charger, our separate charger connector CH-OC can be used to provide connection to the CH-IG on-board Charging connector. Be sure to read the notes in section 7 of the Advanced Glowswitch Handbook. NB. It is not advisable to charge Li-Po cells while they are inside a model.
