Cable + Connectors

The following information is provided more fully in the Glowswitch Handbook

Aero-HT Heat Resisting Cable 

Silicone rubber insulated ultra-flexible 24A cable with UL and many other approvals.  Aero-HT cable has a minimal resistance of a mere 0.02Ω per metre.

Supplied in 500mm lengths each of black red and fitted with push-on connectors.  Suitable for extending cable lengths and  as spares for our range of batteries and Cent-r-Lok glow plug connectors.

Part No HT-5

Cent-r-Lok Connectors

The Cent-r-Lok connector fits OS and YS glow plugs.  Supplied as a set of parts, once assembled, it can be fitted, removed or re-wired without tools.

Cent-r-Lok Engine Connector Pair

Supplied with crank-case connecting tab and HT-5 cables.  Suitable for connecting an IG-1 to a single cylinder engine. Two of these should be used if connecting an IG-2 to two separate engines.

Cent-r-Lok Twin Cylinder Connector Triplet
As above but with two glow plug connectors each with HT-5 cables.
Suitable for connecting an IG-2 to a twin cylinder engine.

Heavy Duty Slide Switch

This heavy duty slide switch can handle 12 A per side (24A with both sides wired together). Used with our other wiring accessories will ensure that the maximum possible power reaches the plug.

Ferrite Ring Cores (Pack of Four)

In the very rare cases of models where the signal to noise ratio or aerial tuning is compromised (by an all aluminium skin for example) these cores can help to limit the importation of noise into the Rx.  Cables suspected of carrying interference can be looped through these cores to form noise reduction chokes which won't affect wanted signals. These toroids are large enough to feed a servo cable through up to five turns (the more the better) without removing the plug.   See the SHM Handbook for more information.
